Jake Cuenca, Joem Bascon offer steamy sex scenes in movie ‘LIHIS’

Hunk actors Jake Cuenca and Joem Bascon offer moviegoers a different acting flavor as they portray gay lovers with a lot of steamy sex scenes in the upcoming film, ‘Lihis.’

Written by Ricky Lee and directed by Joel Lamangan, ‘Lihis’ is a dark drama set during the Martial Law and based on the characters of the actual people Lamangan knew during the 70’s.

It is part of the Sineng Pambansa 2013: National Film Festival – All Masters Edition by the Film Development Council of the Philippines. The festival runs from September 11-17, 2013 exclusively in all SM Cinemas nationwide.

In the film, Cuenca and Bascon play gay communist rebels who find themselves entangled in a web of frustration, despair and victory as they struggle to fight for their love, forbidden by the New People’s Army (NPA).

“Gusto ko lang maiba (ang role ko). And the only way to do that is to keep on accepting different roles,” Cuenca told Yahoo in an interview. Though his first gay role in a movie, Cuenca has already acted a gay role in Maalaala Mo Kaya in 2011. However, this one is different for he has steamy nude, sex scenes with Bascon.

Bascon, for his part said, “Gusto kong maipakita na kaya kong gumawa ng isang film, gay role na makikita ninyo na kaya ko talaga siyang gawin,” the actor told Pep.ph.

But despite the gay affairs, Lamangan clarified Lihis is not a gay film.

It also stars Isabelle Daza, Lovi Poe, Raquel Villavicencio, Tony Mabesa, Alex Castro, Jaime Pebanco and Gloria Diaz.

Here’s the trailer that has a lot of scenes not suited for very young audiences. Make sure that there are no kids behind you before clicking the play button.
