Kathryn Bernardo, Julia Montes Top YES! 100 Most Beautiful Stars

FAST RISING teenage stars, Kathryn Bernardo and Julia Montes are YES! Magazine’s Most Beautiful stars for 2013, the local entertainment magazine revealed on July 25.

YES presented the two Kapamilya stars, who rose to popularity in 2010 after they starred in the hit primetime series, Mara Clara 2010, the remake of the longest running 1992 TV series, Mara Clara (originally starred by Judy Ann Santos and Gladys Reyes) at the star-studded press conference held t the Crowne Plaza Grand Ballroom on Thursday.

First seen as rivals in the series, Bernardo and Montes both blossomed into unique stars the people loved when Mara Clara ended.

Bernardo sustained her popularity until now for being a constant newsmaker for the past three years. Her latest primetime project, the light drama-comedy series, ‘Princess and I’ alongside Daniel Padilla and Enrique Gil aired from April 16, 2012 to February 1, 2013 was a big hit and enjoyed great ratings from viewers and critics alike.

The 17-year-old Cabanatuan City native is yet to star in the upcoming TV series, “Got To Believe” with her leading man, Padilla.

Montes, on the other hand is creating waves in the industry as well. Born Mara Hautea Schnittka, Montes is the ultimate leading lady in the making.

She is Coco Martin’s Katerina in the hit series, ‘Walang Hanggan’ and the same actor’s Jillian Linden in the film, ‘A Moment In Time.’

The 18-year-old Filipina actress and commercial model of German-Filipino descent is now seen weekdays on primetime as Enrique Gil’s Sarah in ‘Muling Buksan Ang Puso.’

“My Husband’s Lover” lead stars Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez also made the list and graced the press launch. They are joined by other Kapuso stars Glaiza De Castro, Alden Richards, Andrea Torres, Bela Padilla, Bianca King, Jeric Gonzales, Thea Tolentino, LJ Reyes, Lovi Poe, Max Collins, Pancho Magno, Rocco Nacino, Ricky Davao, Rochelle Pangilinan and Ryzza Mae Dizon.

Kapamilya stars include Daniel Padilla, Jake Cuenca, Jerome Ponce, Janella Salvador, Joseph Marco and Martin Del Rosario.

Kapatid stars Martin Escudero, Ritz Azul, Sophie Albert, Vin Abrenica and Mr. Tirso Cruz III also grace the launch.
